serial #6487y, 9mm, 4'' barrel with a bright near excellent bore. The metal surfaces of this 1939-dated pistol retain about 80% original blue with most of the loss due to the gripstraps toned to gray patina, high edge and operational wear, a few scattered small dings and scratches. All of the markings are clearly visible and the ejector is the usual plum patina. The checkered walnut grips remain in very good condition showing some small areas of compressed and lightly chipped points, minor dings, a small repaired chip behind the safety that shows some old cracking glue and the right panel is stamp-numbered to the gun while the left is un-numbered. The hold open is numbered ''31'' and bears an Imperial German inspection mark but all of the remaining parts including the grooved firing pin are matching. Included is one blue-bodied aluminum base code 122 magazine numbered ''4450i'' with a ''+'', crisp ''(Eagle) / 37'' stamps and showing some light operational wear overall. A solid code 42 pistol for the military collector. (138944-12) {C&R} (1000/1500) Sold For 1265.00
