serial #XM1731/T08118, 7.62x54R, 24 1/2'' barrel with a very good bore that shows some scattered frosting but strong rifling. The metal surfaces of this 1940-dated rifle retain 98% arsenal refurbished blue with a couple large patches of blued over pitting on the magazine, some light silvering and fading on the exposed edges. The Naval-style stock rates very good with a partially faded 1944 Tula cartouche, a strong ''A'' marking, scattered flaking shellac and handling marks. The magazine is mismatched, the bolt handle is electropenciled matching and the other parts are stamped matching. There is a small CDI import marking on the rear of the receiver. A fine arsenal-reconditioned example of these desirable World War Two rifles. (208998-17) {C&R} (1000/1500) Sold For 1725.00
