serial #713917, 38 WCF, 24'' barrel with an otherwise bright excellent bore which shows three small areas of light pitting. The barrel and magazine tube retain 95% original blue, the loss due primarily to even fading and with remnants of very light surface oxidation near overall, confined primarily to the barrel. The nosecap has toned to a pewter and brown, as has the receiver. The receiver shows remnants of oxidation with scattered very light pinprick pitting. The lever and hammer are primarily a plum patina with remnants of case-hardening at the root of the lever while the buttplate is primarily plum with toning to pewter on the sharp edges. The buttstock and forend rate excellent showing an older, very light cleaning with some added finish, the wood still proud of the metal overall, with very few minor dings or handling marks here and there. The original sights are intact. A very respectable 92 overall with a very nice bore, manufactured 1913. (38952-3) {C&R} (1500/2000) Sold For 1265.00
