serial #SA04227, 45 Colt, 7 1/2'' barrel with a bright excellent, unfired bore. This lovely Colt ''show gun'' retains all of its original factory bright nickel plate and the arm is factory ''C'' engraved with excellent quality open flowing scroll. The arm wears a pair of factory carved steerhead genuine ivory grips which rate excellent as well showing nice age cracking along their butt, and starting up the right side grip. The included factory letter lists ''walnut'' stocks. As with most show guns the firing pin nose has been neatly ground off by the factory and the right side of the barrel is lightly engraved just above the front of the ejector rod housing ''show gun''. The arm comes in a Colt factory walnut presentation case with green baize lining, the exterior of the case shows overall light scratches (a few more moderate) and handling marks but it certainly could be refinished very easily to as-new. Colt factory records indicate this was a show gun and was used by Colt Firearms as an official display model at various trade shows, exhibitions, etc., and was sold at the Colt 1985 Las Vegas Factory Firearms Auction. A very handsome Single Action Army with exceptional upgraded grips. (38937-27) {MODERN} [Cletus Klein Collection] (4000/6000) Sold For 4887.50
