1356. Smith and Wesson 32 Regulation Police Target Revolver

serial #424264, 32 S&W Long, 6'' barrel with an excellent bore. Target versions of the Regulation Police are scarce and sought after by collectors. This pre-war revolver has been non-factory refinished with about 96-97% blue remaining. There is lightly cleaned oxidation around the knuckle, high edge wear, light pitting on the sides of the muzzle, handling marks and a turn ring on the cylinder which is toning to plum. The service hammer and trigger retain strong to bold case-hardened colors with moderate operational wear. The extended stepped diamond checkered walnut factory grips rate about near excellent with light handling marks and crisp patent date on the butt. The grips and all appropriate parts are correctly numbered to the gun and it still functions mechanically. The revolver features a factory adjustable square notch rear sight but the Patridge front sight was cut back slightly and modified to accept an ivory insert, which is mostly missing. This little I frame has seen some use over the years but remains intact and a viable addition to a collection. (88840-82) {C&R} [Roy Jinks Collection] (800/1200) Sold For 632.50
