1436. Excellent Winchester Model 1900 Single Shot Rifle

22 S,L, 18'' barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is a lovely little 1900 retaining about 95% original blue most of the loss due to scattered freckling, very small areas flaking to brown patina scattered about, minor scratches and a few small dings, one at the top edge of the muzzle and the other at the rear left edge bridge. The bolt is still mostly bright showing some very light oxidation staining and minor areas toning to gray patina. The markings are all very clear and this early-production rifle is marked only with the address, 1899 patent date and caliber designation. The smooth straight grip gumwood stock remains in near excellent condition perhaps showing a little older added finish along with some moderate scuffs and light chips at the heel and toe, scattered small dings, scratches and handling marks. The original sights are intact and the bolt seems to function well mechanically. Really a wonderful example for the Winchester collector that would be very difficult to improve upon.
