serial #7194i, 9mm, 5'' barrel with a very good bore showing some fine pinprick pitting but strong rifling throughout. The metal surfaces of this French occupation-produced svw45-coded pistol retain about 85% dull arsenal-quality blue showing some high edge wear, frontstrap and a number of small areas toning to gray patina, barrel toning to plum. The distinctive grooved French sheet metal grips remain in very good condition showing minor imperfections scattered about, scratches and small dings. All of the serialized parts are matching and the barrel, locking block and slide are appropriately stamped with the French star acceptance stamp. The left side frame is additionally stamped with a post-war Austrian Army acceptance stamp ''(Eagle) BH'' and one original magazine showing moderate operational wear is included. An interesting variant of the P.38 pistol for the military collector. (138050-696) {C&R} (600/800) Sold For 632.50
