serial #43841, 300 Savage, 22'' barrel with a bright excellent bore. This rifle is stamped with date code ''ETT'' corresponding to October 1948. The metal surfaces retain about 96% original blue showing some minor high edge wear, faint thinning to gray patina along the bottom of the magazine and triggerguard, a few minor scratches and handling marks. The smooth pistolgrip walnut buttstock and forend remain in near excellent condition showing a little added finish with some minor flaking scattered about, small dings and scratches. The barrel assembly is numbered to the frame, the rear sight has been removed with a blank in its place, the front is a plain bead and there is a Redfield peep sight mounted at the rear. Overall a very clean and near excellent example of these popular sporting rifles. (138963-44) {C&R} [Tim Falvey Collection] (600/800) Sold For 690.00
