serial #34557 (Series 2), 8mm Nambu, 4 1/2'' barrel with a bright excellent bore. The metal surfaces of this May 1944-made pistol retain about 90% original dull blue showing some spots of light oxidation staining scattered about, small dings, a safety mark on the left side frame and some overall freckling. The grooved Asian hardwood grips are stamp-numbered to the gun and remain in very good plus condition showing a few shallow chips on the left panel and some smaller scattered dings. The firing pin extension is un-numbered, the cocking knob is an earlier variation numbered ''411'' but all of the remaining serialized parts are matching. One blue-bodied aluminum base magazine numbered to the gun is included and the action seems to function well mechanically. A fine example exhibiting the usual rough finishing standards seen on late-war Japanese arms. (139014-6) {C&R} (700/900) Sold For 747.50
