serial #841149, 30-06, 24'' 9-20 dated Springfield barrel with a good plus bore that shows scattered oxidation and frosting but evident rifling. The metal surfaces show a thinning arsenal parkerized finish with light pitting throughout the front end of barrel, a small spot of heavy pitting on barrel, faint receiver markings, a few scattered dings and some minor oxidation staining. The two bolt walnut stock rates very good as lightly refinished with an added varnish, two faint circled ''P'' firing proofs, a third crisp circled ''P'' firing proof, a strong boxed ''SA/JFC'' rebuild cartouche, a few dings and scattered handling marks. The bolt is electropenciled numbered matching to the receiver, a Hatcher hole is present, both of which are traits of a Marine Corps rebuild but the stock has a standard army rebuild stamp. A search of the Springfield Research Service yielded no results for this rifle's serial number. There is no front sight present on this rifle. An interesting rifle that may benefit from further research. (208809-92) {C&R} (700/900) Sold For 632.50
