1718. U.S. M1 Carbine by Inland Division

Click on images for enlarged versions.

serial #5478573, 30 Carbine, 18'' 1944-dated Inland barrel with a bright excellent bore. The metal surfaces retain 60% arsenal parkerized finish with overall thinning and fading. The reproduction M1A1 stock rates excellent with a couple minor dings and handling marks. The hammer and rear sight are of Inland manufacture and the other parts are of mixed USGI manufacture. There is a small Arlington ordnance import marking on the barrel. This rifle includes an Arlington ordnance box end-labeled to gun #5478575 (likely an error), a reproduction sling, manual, Arlington ordnance paperwork, a spare M1 stock and handguard. The other stock does not appear to be of USGI manufacture and it was cleaned at some point showing a couple dings and scattered handling marks. There is no oiler or magazine included with this carbine but they are available through the usual distributors. A very good carbine that will likely be a fun plinker.
