.69 Cal, 42'' barrel with an oxidized bore. The lock is marked ''REMINGTON'S/ILLION NY/1857/U.S.'', the barrel is marked with a circled ''P'' and an eagle, while the upper tang is dated 1857 and marked ''W/B/20''. The metal surfaces are an overall dull brown oxidized patina with some pitting on the butt and areas of the barrel remaining bright. The walnut stock rates very good with crisp edges, a pair of crisp cartouches on the left side, a crisp cartouche on the underside of the wrist, a prominent chip behind the lock and the expected handling wear from the years. The lock is functioning well and what is likely the original ramrod is present. A very good musket that has a nice ''attic find'' appearance to it. (208865-80) {ANTIQUE} (600/800) Sold For 603.75
