serial #3695175, 30-06, 24'' 5-43 dated Smith Corona barrel with an excellent bore. The metal surfaces retain 98% gray arsenal parkerized finish with some light silvering on the exposed edges. The two-bolt scant stock rates very good plus with a crisp circled ''P'' firing proof that is struck the wrong way, a strong ordnance wheel, a strong ''FJA'' cartouche, a strong ''USMC'' marking at left rear of butt, a few light dings and handling marks. The stock markings appear to be post-service applied and the ''USMC'' marking is most likely spurious. The bolt is the square lug type and it is of Smith Corona manufacture, the bolt will occasionally hang up at the rear when operated and may require extra force to operate. A fine arsenal reconditioned Smith Corona 1903A3 rifle. (208809-184) {C&R} (500/700) Sold For 690.00
