207. Rare Savage Model 99-K Deluxe Factory Engraved Lever Action Takedown Rifle

serial #308657, 300 Savage, 24'' barrel with an excellent bore. The metal surfaces on this 1928 vintage, factory engraved rifle retain about 98-99% original blue finish with several light handling marks and a few specks of light surface oxidation scattered about. The lever retains about the same original vibrant case color. The rear of the barrel, forearm iron and the receiver all display factory scroll engraving with foliate patterns along the sides and top of the receiver and geometric border engraving along the edges. The deluxe grade checkered walnut stocks rate very good and feature a schnabel tipped forearm and capped pistolgrip buttstock with correct serrated steel buttplate. The wood shows evidence of light sanding with an added oil finish and there appears to be a small, non-structural repair on the right side of the buttstock just behind the checkered flat. The bottom edge of the forearm is more rounded leaving the metal proud at the base. The wood features some lovely figure and has a very classic look. The original front sight remains intact, the rear sight has been replaced with a factory Rocky Mountain rear sight and the rear tang sight is no longer present. A classic rifle in excellent overall condition that would be a fine addition to any vintage Savage collection. (49022-3) {C&R} (3500/5500) Sold For 0.00
