serial #532962, 22 LR, 4'' barrel with an excellent bore. This little I frame five-screw revolver remains in excellent condition with about 97% original blue showing high edge wear, scattered light scratches and turn ring on the recessed cylinder. Bold case-hardened colors with minor operational wear remain on the service trigger and hammer. The diamond checkered stepped and extended walnut factory grips with silver S&W medallions rate about very good with a few light dents and dings on the edge of the butt on the right panel and a small chip with a check on the backstrap of the right panel. The gun features a Patridge front sight, adjustable rear sight, all appropriate parts are correctly numbered to the gun and it times and locks up correctly. It includes a fair condition hinged purple factory box that is correctly end labeled to the gun and has three torn corners on the cover, two torn on the base, scuffing on the edges and a few peeled areas on the end label. The inside cover ''directions'' are for the 22/32 Heavy Target with ''6'''' barrel, written-over in blue grease pencil with a ''4''. Factory records will indicate this gun was shipped to Roanoke Hardware, Roanoke, Virginia on December 16, 1940. A very nice lightly used Kit Gun for the collector.
