serial #44974, 38 ACP, 4 1/2'' barrel with a very good bore showing some light pitting scattered about and strong rifling. The metal surfaces of this 1922-made pistol retain about 95% original blue showing some small dings at the edges near the muzzle, high edge wear and scattered freckling, more moderate at the gripstraps. The hammer retains some mottled case-hardened colors toning to gray patina and the polished areas of the barrel show some light freckling. All of the markings including the Rampant Colt on the slide are crisp and clear. The black checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt and ''COLT'' at the top remain in very good plus condition showing some very minor smoothing and a tiny crack at the top forward edge of the left panel. One original blued magazine with ''CAL. 38 / COLT'' on the floorplate is included. A near excellent example of these desirable Colt pistols. (139010-126) {C&R} [Dr. Jess P.
