Description Update (11/08/18): Caliber is not 44-40 but 44 Merwin

serial #13934, 44-40 WCF, 7'' barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is a stunning open-top revolver very possibly unfired and retaining nearly 99% original nickel finish showing just a couple tiny flakes on the cylinder and select high edges and some light scratches. The hammer and triggerguard show strong case-hardened colors throughout with just some scattered freckling and minor toning to smooth gray patina. The trigger shows brilliant fire blue and all of the markings are crisp and clear. The black checkered hard rubber grips remain in excellent condition showing just a small ding or two. The barrel, cylinder and right grip panel are all matching the frame by assembly number ''3482''. The revolver is fitted with a lanyard ring and the action seems to function very well mechanically with excellent timing and lockup. This is a truly superior example of these popular revolvers that would be nearly impossible to improve upon. (138751-41) {ANTIQUE} (6000/8000) Sold For 5750.00
