serial #M4113, 303 British, 25'' barrel with flash hider and a very good bore showing some spots of light oxidation and strong rifling throughout. The metal surfaces of this 1941-dated pre-86 dealer sample ''keeper'' machine gun retain about 95% arsenal blue showing some spots of thinning, scratches and minor handling marks throughout. The barrel forward of the gas regulator is the typical pewter-gray patina. The smooth walnut carry handle, pistolgrip and buttstock remain in very good plus condition showing some scattered light chips, dings and handling marks. All of the markings are still quite crisp and clear. The lower assembly and barrel locking sleeve are matching the frame and the barrel numbers have been scrubbed. The rear sight assembly is an Enfield-made component, some of the buttstock hardware is BSA-made and there is no buttstock handle present. The action seems to function well mechanically in both full and semi-automatic. One Inglis-marked magazine is included. This is a very fine example of an Inglis Bren gun very rarely seen for sale in this country. Please also see the extra barrels, magazines, tripod and other accessories available in the silent auction.
