serial #279, 20 ga. 3'' x 308 x 22 long rifle, 24'' Bohler super blitz barrels with bright excellent bores, the shotgun tube choked full. The barrels retain about 98% original blue showing only very light muzzle wear with perhaps a very sparsely scattered light handling mark or scratch, the left side of the rib marked ''Champlin Firearms Enid, OK''. They feature light engraving at the breeches and are equipped with dual under bites and Kersten crossbolt. The frame and the sideplates are French gray finished, and are an overall lovely pewter patina toning somewhat to a darker tarnished pewter on the carry point at the belly of the frame. All feature overall Germanic oakleaf engraving with nice quality scroll and ample games scenes left and right of running boar with the left showing leaping Rehbock buck and doe. The belly of the frame shows a duck escaping from a prowling fox, the bow of the triggerguard with nice tight English style scroll. The checkered European walnut capped pistolgrip buttstock with squarish Germanic cheekpiece rates excellent with only a very few extremely minor handling marks from the years, the splinter style field forend is similar and both feature reptile-skin, scale-like checking. The pistolgrip shows a nice horn cap and has an accenting chinstrap with length of pull to the 1/2'' rifle pad is 14 1/2'' from the gold plated triggers, the front being single set. The arm has a simple bead blade front sight and has a manually actuated single folding rear sight and is additionally equipped with dual claw scope bases and nicely engraved rings which mount a Zeiss Diavari C, 2.5-10x52mm telescopic sight with post and duplex reticle with bright excellent optics. The scope itself rates about excellent as well showing only a few minor handling marks or scrapes from field use. The arm locks up well and is on-face with the top lever just slightly right of center. An absolutely fabulous and very seldom-encountered bockdrilling in a very versatile combination, from this fabulous Austrian maker.
