serial #8292, 20 ga., 25'' barrels choked improved cylinder in both with bright excellent bores. The barrels retain about 98-99% original blue with no appreciable loss. Ribs are equipped with silver front and ivory mid-rib beads, barrels maker marked on their top flats with ''XXV'' inlaid in gold. Scalloped boxlock frame shows Churchill's regal-quality tight scroll engraving in about 95% plus coverage. Frame triggerplate and guard retain 99% vivid original color case-hardened and blue finishes. The straight grip English walnut stock and splinter forend rate excellent to nearly as-new showing only a couple very minor handling marks here and there. Features dropper points and an un-engraved oval monogram plate along the toeline. The length of pull to the 3/4'' solid old English pad, from the Miller single selective trigger is 14 1/4'' showing drops of you 1 1/2'' and 2 3/8''. The gun locks up well and is on-face and includes ejectors, automatic safety and as-mentioned Miller single selective trigger. Overall a very nice British smallbore boxlock double for October birds.
