serial #507, 44-40, 24'' round barrel with full magazine and an about good bore showing some moderate pitting but strong rifling throughout. The barrel of this early rifle is marked only ''KENNEDY'' along with the caliber designation and the metal surfaces have mostly toned to dark gray patina showing some light pitting here and there, remnants of older reapplied blue on the barrel, small dings and some hints of original bright blue in some of the more protected areas of the action. The screw heads show some light slot damage and all of the markings are still quite clear. The plain walnut stocks remain in about very good condition as lightly refinished showing a few small spots of filler, some small chips at the heel, scratches and handling marks. The rifle is sighted with typical sporting rear and German silver blade front sights and the action seems to function well mechanically. Overall a solid early round-barreled small caliber rifle.
