serial #12352, 36 cal., 7 1/2'' round barrel with an about good bore which shows strong rifling but is pitted its full-length. All of the metal surfaces are a dull gray and plum patina with only trace original finish in the protected areas. There is some minor pitting at the muzzle and sparsely scattered about the barrel and leading edge of cylinder with a very small amount on the frame. The brass guard and grip straps are a dull goldenrod patina retaining minor dings and handling marks from the years. The one piece walnut grip rates very good showing an old light cleaning with minor dings and handling marks with wear along the sharp edges of the butt; it is un-numbered but fits very well and has been spuriously stamped ''C.S.'' on the right bottom of the grip. All of the numbers are matching including the wedge and the gun seems to time well and lock up properly. An honest and respectable 1861 Navy. (39036-11) {ANTIQUE} (2000/3000) Sold For 1725.00
