serial #37944, .44 cal, 8'' round barrel with a very good bore showing light oxidation and strong rifling throughout. The barrel of this revolver retains about 85% original blue showing some flaking to brown patina throughout. The frame and cylinder retain perhaps 25-30% original bright blue scattered about that has mostly flaked to gray-brown patina and shows some scattered pinprick pitting. The loading lever and hammer retain strong remnants of case-hardened colors having mostly toned to a smoky gray patina. The screw heads show light slot damage, the address and patent markings are quite crisp as are the small inspector stamps on all of the parts. The smooth one-piece walnut grip is stamp-numbered to the gun and remains in very good plus condition just showing worn finish and some small dings. There are visible cartouches on both sides of the grip that are soft but mostly visible. All of the serialized parts are matching and the gun seems to function well mechanically with solid timing and lockup just a little loose. (139009-14) {ANTIQUE} (1200/1800) Sold For 2070.00
