serial #33, 22 RF, 3 1/8'' barrels with oxidized bores showing some fair rifling. The metal surfaces of this pistol are mostly a pewter-gunmetal patina showing evidence of a light cleaning long ago with remnants of light pitting, a few scattered moderate dings and a couple flakes of original bright blue lurking about. There are some very thin cracks in the hammer and some more prominent dings behind the breech. The left side of the barrel is still clearly marked ''RUPERTUS PAT'D PISTOL MFg Co PHILADELPHIA''. The screw heads show some wear and the swiveling striker is intact. The un-numbered smooth walnut grips remain in good condition showing some overall smoothing, worn finish, dings and a thin drying crack down the right panel. The barrel is numbered to the frame and the action is functional. This little pistol has seen a fair amount of use but is still a solid example of these very low-production guns with only about 100 produced. (138931-160) {ANTIQUE} (1000/1500) Sold For 977.50
