serial #60504, 25-20 WCF, 20'' round barrel with full magazine and a fair bore showing moderate oxidation and some good rifling throughout. The barrel and magazine retain perhaps 40% original blue with the balance toning to gray-brown patina also showing some scattered freckling. The action retains about 35-40% original bright blue toning overall to gray patina with some light pitting at the high edges. The hammer and lever retain some strong case-hardened colors in the protected areas and have mostly toned to a mix of dark gray and silvery patina. All of the markings are still clearly visible and the caliber marking is two-line ''25-20 / W.C.F.'' The plain walnut stocks remain in very good plus condition showing mostly worn finish but very good metal-to-wood fit, some scattered light dings, a 1 1/2'' moderate scratch on the right side of the butt and handling marks from the years; the stocks are still quite attractive overall. The carbine is sighted with standard carbine rear sight and a likely period replaced ivory bead front. The saddle ring is intact and the action seems to function well mechanically. This is a very attractive antique 1892 carbine. (138976-18) {ANTIQUE} (1000/1500) Sold For 1495.00
