692. Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle

serial #408603, 32 WS, 26'' octagon mail order barrel with full magazine and a bright excellent bore. The barrel and magazine retain about 92-95% original blue, the lost due to minor light edge wear, some tiny nicks and impact marks and small patches of light pitting on the bottom front of the magazine tube and retention band. The action retains about 80% original blue toning to brown on the sides of the frame with some tiny light scratches, specks of oxidation and a small patch of light pitting on the upper rear left corner of the frame; the front, rear and bottom of the action are a smoky gray and brown patina. The loading gate shows traces of original fire blue toning to brown while the hammer and lever have toned to gray with traces of original case colors in the protected areas. The plain walnut buttstock and forend rate very good plus to near excellent with light dents and handling marks. The barrel is sighted with a long-blade Sheard style front sight and smokeless rear sight and has Model 94, Nickel Steel and oval-P markings. A very good plus 1894 rifle manufactured around 1908.
