serial #S192558, 38/44 S&W (38 Special), 4'' pinned barrel with a bright excellent bore showing light constriction where the barrel enters the frame. This 1958-1959 made four screw revolver has police department markings electric penciled on the frame under the grips. The metal surfaces retain about 85% original blue finish with the straps worn to pewter with light to moderate high edge wear, oxidation blemishes and the expected handling marks from the years. The service trigger and hammer retain bold case-hardened colors with light handling wear on the edges of the trigger. The diamond checkered walnut Magna grips with silver S&W medallions are numbered to another gun but rate excellent with a few minor handling marks. The gun features a round blade front sight, square notch rear sight and the sides of the front strap are electric penciled ''Pueblo Police''. The gun includes an un-numbered factory two-piece gold picture box that is correctly end labeled to a 38/44 Heavy Duty 4'' barrel. Factory records show this revolver as part of a 9 gun shipment to Chief of Police Roy Harper, Pueblo Colorado. This gun has seen some honest wear but should be very attractive to the police firearms collector or revolver enthusiast. (88840-54) {C&R} [Roy Jinks Collection] (1000/1500) Sold For 1092.50
