serial #100165, .44 cal, 8'' octagon barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is an extremely fine revolver retaining about 92% original bright blue showing a few small areas flaking to smooth brown patina scattered about, gripstraps lightly thinning to gray patina and some errant freckles. The triggerguard is a pleasant ocher patina while the hammer retains bold case-hardened colors with some minor toning to smooth gray patina. The nipples are very clean with strong blue in the chamber and the barrel address and various inspector markings are all crisp and clear. The smooth walnut grips are pencil-numbered to the gun and remain in near excellent condition retaining almost all of their original finish with just a few small dings at the edges. The left panel is marked with a crisp ''OWA'' cartouche and both are stamped with crisp sub-inspector marks on their butts. The barrel and triggerguard are matching the frame and the cylinder is un-numbered. Timing and lockup are excellent. Really a superb New Model that would be very difficult to improve upon.
